Hi, My name is Christie and I am the owner of Tilly & Co. Swim.

I am a mother of two, and I live in the beautiful beach town, Ocean Grove in Victoria, Australia.

​I have been sewing for most of my life, taught by my beautiful grandmother, Audrey. I guess you could say I owe my passion to her after many hours sitting watching her sew. Although its definitely in my blood, as my mum is also an avid sewer.

After having my son at the beginning of 2018, I began sewing in every quiet moment I had, and soon took over a bedroom (much to my husbands disgust - he claims I took over his hobby room.) and the projects began. I was sewing baby clothes and cloth nappies, dresses and leggings for myself, headbands and scrunchies, you name it and I was sewing it!

My Daughter was born in November 2020, and this sparked a very big change in how we went about our lives. Our house became low tox and my awareness about the future my babies were heading into became a lot more in the forefront of my mind. Along with this new mindset, I was also navigating life as a mum after two c-sections and (lets be honest, the Covid 25kg), I was finding it increasingly hard to find an ethical, sustainable and environmentally friendly option when it came to swimwear, that was also flattering and pretty.

This was where Tilly & Co. Swim was born.

All of the items for sale in my shop are handmade by myself, the one woman show you may say. I will custom make each piece to your order, including colour, size & cut. At this stage I will not be stocking Ready To Wear options.

All items are made from 100% recycled plastics, harvested from our oceans and turned into a beautiful recyclable swim fabric that is able to be recycled again and again.  

All of my products are UPF50+, ultrachlorine resistant and don't change shape over time.  Everything is reversible and seamless, so you essentially get two for one.

How good is it that we can make a fabric from things like bottles, fishing nets and waste that has been left in oceans, helping to create less impact on our planet!

I am passionate about creating swimwear that makes everyone feel amazing! 

My goal is to convey my passion and attention to detail through each piece I hand make for you.
